DoD/IC Federal Sr. Sales Account Manager

Voyager is seeking a sales leader for the US federal government agencies, specifically the US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Voyager currently has a strong footprint within the federal government, both on the DoD/IC and civilian sectors and is looking to continue to expand and grow in that market. The world is seeing an explosion in the amount and variety of location-based information and at the same time, enterprises have mass amounts of existing data with limited ways to organize and view that data. Voyager Search is at the intersection providing software for enterprise search, cataloging, retrieval and use of data. Voyager is a nimble, growing Software Company focused on bringing the best enterprise open source geospatial software to enterprises around the world. Voyager was founded and built by leaders in the GIS and the Lucene/Solr communities. The Public Data Site will reference topical and valuable geospatial content so that this information becomes discoverable by Voyager users, the general public and other search engines. It will also be the premier demonstration of Voyager’s capabilities

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Account Management within large federal DoD/IC accounts,
  • Developing and sustaining strategic customer relationships within the federal market
  • Closing sustainable revenue across technology and service lines
  • Penetrating new agencies within the DoD/IC market
  • Working with product management and marketing teammates to better design products and product use cases to meet client requirements
  • Creating and executing on strategic and tactical sales plans
  • Accurately forecasting and closing sales commensurate with company goals
  • Understanding and using a CRM system and other sales tools for the tracking of all opportunities

Your Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree required
  • 5 years MINIMUM of successful enterprise software sales experience
  • Web services software and technology sales experience
  • Demonstrated track record of top performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven competitiveness
  • Executive relationships within account set
